| Obverse description | Central device features the crowned royal cypher of Frederik V — an intricately interlaced double-F monogram rendered in elaborate foliate script — surmounted by a large open royal crown with arches and orb. The monogram occupies the full field, its foliate flourishes extending to the coin's inner border. The surrounding legend in Latin reads D:G:REX:DAN:NOR:VAN:GOT:, abbreviated from Dei Gratia Rex Daniae, Norvegiae, Vandalorum Gothorum, proclaiming the king's title by the grace of God. The design is executed in bold relief with a fine beaded inner border. |
