| Obverse description | Klippe flan struck on a square planchet oriented as a lozenge. Two horizontal raised bands in the upper field carry the Latin siege motto EXTREMVM / SUBSIDIUM. The crowned municipal arms of Kampen — depicting a city gate with three turrets surmounted by three figures — occupy the central field, flanked to the left and right by the divided denomination ZI and ST within small recessed squares. Below the shield, a further raised band bears the city name CAMPEN, with the date 1578 presented in a rectangular cartouche in the lower field. |
