| Beschrijving keerzijde | A large inlaid jade bi-disc ring occupies the central field, upon which Chinese characters reading 猪年招财进宝 (meaning 'May the Year of the Pig bring wealth and treasure') are inscribed in gilt script arranged in a circular fashion. At the centre of the jade ring, a gilt effigy of a standing pig is depicted in high relief against a polished field. Above the jade disc, the Chinese cyclical year characters 己亥 appear in gilt. The surrounding silver border is decorated with multiple small engraved vignettes of pigs and floral motifs. The Latin legend THE YEAR OF THE PIG is inscribed below the jade inset, with the date 2019 in the lower exergue. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Lao PDR has issued lunar New Year coinage consistently since the early 2000s, largely targeting the Chinese collector market rather than domestic circulation — Laos shares a substantial ethnic Chinese minority population and a long economic relationship with China that makes such issues commercially viable. This 2019 piece marks the Year of the Pig in the 12-year cycle, the final animal in the sequence before it resets with the Rat.
