| Obverse description | On this rectangular copper-nickel piece, the dominant central motif is a highly detailed, naturalistic depiction of the alpine longhorn beetle (havasi cincér, Rosalia alpina), rendered in high relief against a lightly engraved schematic map of Hungary in the field. The denomination '2000 FORINT' is inscribed in large characters in the upper left, with the date '2015' and Budapest Mint mark 'BP.' below it to the left. The species name 'havasi cincér' appears in script lettering to the right of the insect. The country name 'MAGYARORSZÁG' is engraved in bold capital letters along the lower margin of the flan. |
