Reverse description A three-quarter length portrait of András Fáy (1786–1864), Hungarian writer, politician, and founder of the first Hungarian savings bank, depicted in contemporary early 19th-century attire with arms crossed, rendered in fine relief. His cursive facsimile signature appears in the upper left field of the coin. To the right of the portrait, the dates 1786–1864 denote his birth and death years. The engraver's initials KV appear in the lower left field. The portrait is executed in a naturalistic, medallic style with fine detail in the subject's facial features and period costume.
