Reverse description The reverse presents an allegorical bust of Abundance in left profile, rendered in a graceful, flowing modern style. Her hair fans outward dramatically to the right, portrayed as stylized flowing strands that fill much of the field. She holds a cluster of grapes or fruit at the lower right, symbolizing fertility and plenty. The denomination L.200 is inscribed to the left of the figure, and the Rome mint mark R appears in small characters below.

Additional information

San Marino issued a series of themed 200 Lire pieces through the late 1980s and into 1990, each year carrying a distinct subject under agreements with the Italian state that permitted the republic to mint its own coinage despite using the Italian lira as its currency. Mintages were kept deliberately low to serve the collector market, meaning most examples never approached circulation.
