| Additional information |
Viktor Ponrepo was the stage name of Dismas Šlambor, the Bohemian showman who introduced cinema to Czech audiences in 1907 with a permanent Prague screening room — the first of its kind in the country. The Czech National Bank's commemorative series marking cultural and scientific figures has used the 200 Korun denomination consistently since the 1990s, with each issue tied to a specific centenary or anniversary. This one marks the centennial of that Prague cinema.
