背面描述 The reverse presents a stylized depiction of a border crossing rendered as a series of horizontal stone-textured bands or barrier rails receding into the field, evoking the opening of frontier checkpoints. Three lines of text — EVROPOU / VOLNOU / CESTOU — are inscribed in relief across the central zone of the design. The circular legend VSTUP DO SCHENGENSKÉHO PROSTORU runs along the upper rim, while the date 21.12.2007, marking the Czech Republic's accession to the Schengen Area, appears along the lower border flanked by decorative dots.

附加信息

The Czech Republic joined the Schengen Area on 21 December 2007, when border controls with its neighbors were lifted at midnight — an occasion the CNB chose to commemorate roughly six months after the fact. Schengen accession was politically significant for Prague: the country had entered the EU in 2004 but free movement across its German, Austrian, Polish, and Slovak borders remained restricted until that December night.

KM#99 is one of several CNB silver commemoratives from this period issued under the authority of the 1993 monetary law establishing the koruna as sole legal tender following the Czechoslovak dissolution.
