| Description de l’avers | The coin is struck in the shape of a Hamsa (Hand of Fatima), with a suspension loop at the apex. A stylised multi-layered rosette or mandala motif occupies the centre of the field, rendered in frosted and mirror-polished relief. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper border, with the date 2021 descending along the right side. The denomination 200 FRANCS CFA is inscribed in the lower portion of the field, with a small floral ornament below. A continuous border of raised beads frames the entire inner surface. |

| Description du revers | The reverse, also in the form of the Hamsa, features an elaborate engraved arabesque and foliate design covering the lower field, with stylised tulip and acanthus motifs in frosted relief. At the upper centre, a large circular blue glass evil-eye insert (nazar) is set into the field, depicting concentric rings of deep blue, white, light blue, and black, evoking the traditional Turkish and North African talisman. A small six-petalled floral ornament appears near the base of the design. A border of raised beads encircles the inner field, and a suspension loop is present at the top. |

The Hand of Fatima — known in Arabic as the khamsa — predates Islam entirely, with roots in Punic and Berber apotropaic traditions that were already ancient when Carthage fell. Its adoption across North and West African cultures makes it a genuinely pan-regional symbol, which explains Cameroon's choice despite the country's majority-Christian south. This piece is part of a broader wave of Cameroonian collector silver that began around 2016, largely struck at European mints and targeting the numismatic novelty market rather than domestic circulation.
The glass insert is a production feature of the Polish Mint, which has supplied similar technology to multiple African issuing authorities under licensing arrangements.
