Obverse description Left-facing crowned bust of Bolesław I Chrobry (Boleslaus the Brave), first King of Poland, rendered in high relief with flowing hair visible beneath a detailed crown adorned with foliate points. The king is depicted in a draped mantle with incised linear folds. The legend BOLESŁAW CHROBRY arcs along the left periphery, while the dual dates 1025 and 1925 — commemorating the 900th anniversary of his coronation — appear to the right. A small engraver's mark is visible at the lower right of the field.
