| Obverse description | The national arms of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea occupy the central field, depicting a hydroelectric dam and power pylon within a wreath of rice ears, surmounted by a five-pointed star with radiating rays. The Hangul legend of the Central Bank of the DPRK arcs along the upper periphery, reading from left to right. The denomination '20 WON' appears in Latin characters at the base of the field, flanked by crossed grain sprigs, while the specifications '31g' and '999' are inscribed in the left and right fields respectively. |
