Issued to commemorate the July 2000 summit between Kim Jong Il and Vladimir Putin in Pyongyang — Putin's first visit to North Korea as president — this piece belongs to a small category of DPRK commemoratives produced almost entirely for foreign hard-currency collectors, not domestic circulation.
