Reverse description The central field features a finely engraved depiction of a red-crowned crane (Grus japonensis) standing amid bamboo stalks, rendered in a style evoking traditional Korean ink-brush painting. The crane is shown in profile, its plumage rendered in meticulous relief against the mirror-polished background, with bamboo leaves and culms surrounding it. The bilingual arc legend along the upper rim reads '대와 학 BAMBOO AND CRANE' in both Korean and Latin script. In the lower right field, the life dates '1545-1611' and the artist's name in Korean '리경운' and in romanised form 'RI KYONG YUN' identify the Joseon-period painter whose original composition the design commemorates.
