正面描述 Central design features the Taedong Gate (Taedongmun), the historic east gate of Pyongyang, rendered in fine detail with its characteristic multi-tiered pagoda-style roof and surrounding stonework. The gate is depicted in the centre of the coin field, occupying the majority of the flan. The curved Hangul legend of the Central Bank of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea arcs around the upper periphery. The denomination '20 WON' appears in Latin script below the central motif.

附加信息

North Korea issued a series of brass 20 Won pieces in the early 2000s targeting the foreign collector market — not domestic circulation, which operated on an entirely separate currency system. The Arirang Mass Games, first staged in their modern form in 2002, were organized to coincide with the 90th anniversary of Kim Il-sung's birth and involved upwards of 100,000 performers in Pyongyang's Rungrado May Day Stadium.

KM#855 is one of several companion pieces from this release, each pulling from the same festival theme.
