| Obverse description | Portrait vignette of King George VI in an oval frame at upper left, set against an intricate guilloche underprint in green and brown tones. The denomination "TWENTY SHILLINGS OR ONE POUND" is inscribed in large lettering across the centre, with the value numeral "20" repeated at upper right within a lathe-work rosette.
