The cubic zirconia inlay and selective gold plating are production techniques sourced primarily from the Minsk Mint, which developed considerable expertise in decorative bimetallic and gem-set coinage during the 2000s as Belarus positioned numismatic issues as a minor but deliberate foreign currency earner.
