| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Justinian I facing right, rendered in the late antique imperial style typical of Italian provincial Byzantine coinage. The emperor's effigy is depicted with a beaded diadem and layered military dress, conveying regal and martial authority. The surrounding field bears a partial Latin legend, much of which is obscured by the irregular flan and heavy patination characteristic of this issue.
