Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Justinian I facing right, rendered in the late antique imperial style typical of Italian provincial Byzantine coinage. The emperor's effigy is depicted with a beaded diadem and layered military dress, conveying regal and martial authority. The surrounding field bears a partial Latin legend, much of which is obscured by the irregular flan and heavy patination characteristic of this issue. The portrait, though worn, retains the essential iconographic conventions of Justinianic numismatic portraiture.
