| Beschrijving voorzijde | Emperor Justinian I depicted enthroned facing, robed in imperial regalia, holding a long sceptre in his right hand and a globus cruciger in his left. The figure is rendered in the frontal hieratic style characteristic of early Byzantine coinage, seated upon a throne with decorative footstool elements visible at the base. The surrounding legend is arranged around the periphery of the flan within a dotted border. The overall composition reflects the solemn, symbolic representation of imperial authority prevalent in sixth-century Byzantine numismatic art. |

An officina letter appears to the right of the K, identifying the issuing workshop.
