| Obverse description | Emperor Justinian I depicted enthroned facing, robed in imperial regalia, holding a long sceptre in his right hand and a globus cruciger in his left. The figure is rendered in the frontal hieratic style characteristic of early Byzantine coinage, seated upon a throne with decorative footstool elements visible at the base. The surrounding legend is arranged around the periphery of the flan within a dotted border. The overall composition reflects the solemn, symbolic representation of imperial authority prevalent in sixth-century Byzantine numismatic art. |

| Reverse description | Central large denomination mark K (Greek numeral for 20) dominates the reverse field, denoting the value of 20 nummi. To the left of the K stands a long cross. The letters T and H appear above the cross arm, while Є and Ч are placed below, together forming the mint signature THЄЧOP(olis) for Theopolis (Antioch). An officina letter appears to the right of the K, identifying the issuing workshop. The design is spare and functional, consistent with Byzantine fractional copper coinage of the Justinianic reform period. |
