Reverse description Central field displays the heraldic arms of the Free City of Danzig: a crowned shield bearing two black crosses on a white field, rendered in relief on the cardboard substrate. A royal crown surmounts the shield at the top. The circular legend 'FREISTAAT▲DANZIG▲' runs around the periphery of the field, interrupted by two triangular or lozenge-shaped ornamental stops. The nickel-plated rim forms a raised border, while the central cardboard area retains a darker, unplated surface, giving the reverse a distinctly two-toned appearance characteristic of this trial strike format.
