Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features an elaborate and densely composed central floral arabesque design, consisting of symmetrical scrolling acanthus-style foliage radiating outward from a central rosette, rendered in high relief against a flat field. The ornamental motif is enclosed within the circular flan with no border beading. The peripheral legend reads LAMBETH LONDON along the upper arc and 1851 along the lower arc, all in raised Latin capital letters. The design reflects the decorative engraving style characteristic of mid-19th century British die-makers, intended to demonstrate technical minting capability to a prospective Ottoman client.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse displays a central Ottoman tughra-style calligraphic inscription in flowing Arabic script, occupying the central field and reading the mint formula referencing Constantinople and the regnal year 1255 AH. Surrounding the inscription is a decorative border composed of alternating five-pointed stars and crescent moon devices, arranged in a circular pattern around the entire periphery of the coin. The crescents are rendered with fine reeding on their inner arc, giving the border an ornate and formal appearance consistent with Ottoman numismatic convention. The overall composition is characteristic of the Tanzimat-era Ottoman coinage aesthetic as interpreted by a Western die-engraver.
