| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of King Oscar II occupying the central field, with the engraver's initials 'L.A.' incuse below the neck truncation. The obverse legend encircles the effigy reading 'OSCAR II SVERIGES O. NORGES KONUNG', identifying the king as sovereign of Sweden and Norway. The date appears in the lower exergual area, flanked on either side by a five-pointed star. The portrait is rendered in a refined neoclassical style characteristic of late nineteenth-century Scandinavian coinage. |
