Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features a stylized allegorical composition of two female figures symbolizing sorrow and joy, set against a relief map of Ukraine occupying the right portion of the field. To the left, two commemorative dates are inscribed: 22 ЧЕРВНЯ 1941 and 28 ЖОВТНЯ 1944, marking the beginning of Nazi occupation and the final liberation of Ukrainian territory respectively. Below the central composition, the principal legend reads ВИЗВОЛЕННЯ УКРАЇНИ ВІД ФАШИСТСЬКИХ ЗАГАРБНИКІВ, commemorating the liberation of Ukraine from fascist invaders. The overall design employs a bold sculptural style characteristic of Ukrainian commemorative coinage of this period.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued in the same year Russia annexed Crimea and armed separatists seized portions of the Donbas, this coin commemorates the 70th anniversary of Ukraine's liberation from Nazi occupation — a date that carried immediate and uncomfortable political resonance in 2014. The Soviet narrative of liberation had long been complicated in western Ukraine, where some partisan factions fought against both German and Soviet forces, and the Kyiv government's framing of the theme was deliberate.

KM#751 belongs to a long-running Ukrainian commemorative silver program that has produced dozens of 50mm issues; collector demand outside Ukraine for this particular release has remained modest.
