| Additional information |
Poland's monetary reconstruction after World War I and the collapse of three occupying empires left the new republic experimenting extensively with alloys and denominations through the early 1920s. This brass trial strike for the 20 Groszy was part of that broader testing process — the production coinage ultimately went to nickel, making brass survivors from the pattern phase genuinely scarce documents of an indecisive mint year.
