Obverse description The obverse presents a bold, modernist typographic design in which the large numeral '20' dominates the central field. Radiating outward from the numeral in a striking sunburst arrangement, the circular legend 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' is rendered in large, block capital letters separated by raised dots, wrapping around the full circumference of the coin. The mint year appears in small numerals beneath the central denomination figure. The overall design, conceived by Michael Powolny, is characterised by its graphic, avant-garde aesthetic, with the radiating lettering creating a dynamic visual effect across the entire coin surface.
