Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features the Swiss federal cross in the upper central field, surrounded by the circular legend CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA arranged along the left arc. The date 2012 appears along the lower right periphery, with the mint mark B positioned immediately above the denomination. Aanvullende informatie

Globi, the round blue gnome-like character created by illustrator Robert Lips in 1932, became one of the most durable figures in Swiss children's publishing — the book series eventually ran to dozens of volumes over eight decades. Swissmint's decision to issue a coin honoring him in 2012 marked the 80th anniversary of his first appearance. It's an unusual subject for a commemorative silver issue, and the series has a genuine collector following among both numismatists and devotees of Swiss graphic arts history.
