| Obverse description | Central field bears four large Chinese characters arranged vertically in two columns, flanked by Manchu script characters at centre, denoting the reign title Xuantong and the mint authority of Hupeh Province. A surrounding circular legend in Chinese characters reads the denomination and weight standard. The design follows the standard late Qing provincial milled coinage format, with inscriptions occupying the full obverse face within a plain border. |
