At centre, the small figure of Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf are depicted standing amid a dense, stylised forest of tall, bare trees with intertwining bare branches filling the upper field. Two small house vignettes appear on either side of the composition, connected by winding paths, evoking the narrative journey of the tale. The legend ROTKÄPPCHEN arcs along the upper rim, and GRIMMS MÄRCHEN is inscribed along the lower rim. The engraver's initials EG appear discreetly within the design field. |
