| Additional information |
Liberia's Central Bank issued a succession of foreign-celebrity commemoratives throughout the 1990s with no connection to Liberian monetary history — these were produced almost entirely for the collector export market, with distribution handled through overseas dealers rather than domestic circulation. Diana died in August 1997, and pieces dated that year were almost certainly in production before her death, making the "Wedding Day" framing an accidental retrospective rather than a planned memorial.
