The deity is enshrined within a traditional South Indian temple gateway (gopuram-style arch) flanked by two ornate pillars, with a radiant sunburst halo behind the head. Tall ceremonial oil lamps (deepa stambhas) stand to either side of the shrine. A sacred flame burns at the base in the lower field, and the date 2014 is inscribed at the bottom. Two lines of Devanagari script curve along the upper border, quoting the Sanskrit shloka extolling the supremacy of Lord Venkateswara. |
