The RCM has returned to the species repeatedly in its bullion and collector series, though this issue's tri-metal plating treatment — combining standard rhodium, black rhodium, and selective gold — reflects a finishing technique the mint developed and refined through the late 2010s to simulate depth and contrast without enamel.
