| Reverse description | Highly sculptural, ultra-high-relief depiction of Ra, the ancient Egyptian sun god, rendered as a falcon-headed anthropomorphic deity adorned with selective gold gilding on the falcon head and double crown headdress, which is surmounted by a uraeus serpent. Ra is shown seated and draped in ornate pharaonic regalia with detailed hieroglyphic patterning on the breastplate and belt, set against a background of Egyptian pyramids and a dramatic clouded sky. The Eye of Ra symbol appears in the upper left field. A cartouche-style panel at the base bears the inscription RA - SUN GOD. The entire surface is treated with an antiqued finish to enhance the deeply recessed relief. |

| Additional information |
Ra was among the most theologically complex figures in the Egyptian pantheon — not a fixed deity but a composite one, merged at various points with Amun, Atum, and Horus depending on the political priorities of whichever priesthood held sway. The cult center at Heliopolis held primacy for centuries before Theban priests engineered the Amun-Ra synthesis during the New Kingdom, effectively consolidating two rival religious bureaucracies under one name.
Cook Islands has been an active issuer of high-relief collector silver under New Zealand's oversight since the 1970s, with the commemorative program long outpacing any domestic monetary need.
