| Reverse description | Colorized depiction of the Nijubashi Bridge and the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, rendered in fine relief against a radiant sunburst background filling the field. Surrounding the central architectural scene are richly colored chrysanthemum blooms in red, pink, purple, and gold, symbolizing the Imperial chrysanthemum seal of Japan. A green magatama jewel, one of the three Imperial Treasures of Japan, is prominently placed at the top of the design. The Imperial chrysanthemum crest appears in a cartouche at the lower center of the design.
