| 背面描述 | A highly detailed, incuse-struck sugar maple leaf (Acer saccharum) dominates the centre of the field, its finely rendered veining and lobed outline rendered in recessed relief against the rhodium-plated matte background. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper periphery, while the bilingual purity and weight inscriptions FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR arc along the lower periphery. The fineness mark 9999 appears flanking the maple leaf at left and right in the mid-field. The overall composition closely mirrors the iconic Maple Leaf bullion coinage design, here presented in the incuse format. |

The incuse treatment applied here inverts the standard relief convention — rather than the design rising from the field, it is recessed into it. The Royal Canadian Mint has experimented with incuse finishes intermittently since the 1990s, but the combination with rhodium plating represents a more recent production wrinkle: rhodium, one of the platinum-group metals and among the most expensive by spot price, resists tarnish and fingerprinting in ways that bare silver cannot. The plating is thin enough that it does not materially affect the silver content declaration, but thick enough to alter the coin's optical character entirely.
