Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Liberty wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, her hair bound and flowing at the neck. Thirteen stars are arranged around the periphery, and the date 1875 appears at the lower rim. The design is executed in the style of William Barber, with fine portrait detail characteristic of his pattern work.
