Obverse description Two crossed flags displayed in saltire at center — the five-striped flag of the Republic of China on the left and a plain-staff pennant on the right — with a small floral rosette at each cardinal point along the toothed border. A brief legend appears above the flags in the upper field. The design is rendered in low relief with a somewhat crude provincial style characteristic of warlord-era Chinese provincial coinage.
