Obverse description The Polish state eagle — a crowned white eagle with wings displayed and head turned to dexter — occupies the central field, rendered in high relief against a stylized background featuring diagonal leaf or grass motifs in the lower flanking areas. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper rim in Latin characters. Below the eagle, the date 2013 is struck in the mid-field, with the denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ displayed prominently at the base of the design.
