Obverse description The Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle displayed — occupies the central field. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 2013 appears in the lower field flanking the eagle. Below the eagle, the denomination is rendered as a large numeral '2' flanked by the currency abbreviations ZŁ on either side. The mint mark of the Mint of Poland (MW) is incorporated discreetly near the eagle's breast. The design follows the standard obverse type used for Polish Nordic gold commemorative circulation issues of this series.
