The eagle is displayed with wings spread, facing dexter, with a crown above its head. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' arcs along the upper rim, flanked by decorative dot ornaments. In the left and centre of the field, pilgrim figures are shown in procession carrying banners, including a cross and a standard bearing the Marian symbol. Behind the pilgrims, the Jasna Góra Monastery complex with its characteristic spires and the basilica tower dominates the upper field. To the right, additional architectural elements of the monastery precinct are rendered in fine detail.
