| Additional information |
Krzeszów Abbey in Lower Silesia is among the most elaborate Baroque monastic complexes in Central Europe, built primarily by Cistercian monks in the early eighteenth century under Abbot Bernhard Rosa. The 2010 Nordic Gold collector series — of which this is one piece — continued Poland's long-running program of commemorating historic sites on circulating-quality bimetallic issues, a program that had by this point produced well over a hundred distinct types since its 1995 launch.
