Obverse description The Polish national emblem, a crowned white eagle with wings displayed, occupies the central field. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper rim in raised Latin letters. The date 2010 is divided across the lower field, flanking the eagle's talons, with the mint mark MW positioned between the date numerals. Below the eagle, the denomination 2 is rendered in large numerals, flanked by the currency abbreviations ZŁ to either side. A decorative ring of raised dots encircles the lower portion of the design.

Reverse description The reverse depicts a dynamic battle scene commemorating the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald (1410). In the foreground, two armoured medieval knights advance in three-quarter view, each bearing a heraldic shield — the left knight carrying a sword and displaying an eagle device on his shield, the right knight raising a sword aloft. Additional combatants are shown in the middle ground against a dramatic background of diagonal lines suggesting a volley of arrows or lances. A fallen figure lies at the knights' feet in the lower field. The name GRUNWALD appears in bold stylised lettering across the lower centre of the field, with the date 1410 inscribed immediately below. The engraver's initial R appears in the lower left field.
