Obverse description The obverse displays the crowned Polish White Eagle, the national emblem, rendered in high relief at the centre of the field. The legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 2011 is divided on either side of the eagle's lower body, flanked by decorative dots. The denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ appears in large numerals at the bottom of the field, with the mint mark MW incorporated into the design. The design was engraved by Ewa Tyc-Karpińska and is characteristic of the standard obverse type used for the Polish Nordic gold commemorative 2-złote series.
