Obverse description Right-facing laureate bust of Emperor Leopold I, wearing a voluminous curled allonge wig cascading over both shoulders, with armour visible on the left shoulder and an ornate lace cravat at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque style characteristic of the Hall Mint. The circular Latin legend is separated from the bust by a wreath of olive or laurel sprigs, and reads LEOPOLDVS D G ROM IMP S A G H B REX. The coin features a milled edge visible at the rim.
