Reverse description The crowned rampant lion of Norway, single-tailed and facing left, holds a curved halberd in its forepaws and is depicted within a laurel wreath. The king's motto legend encircles the wreath, with the date split as 16 - 62 appearing below the wreath and the mintmaster's initials F.G. flanking it. A mintmark appears between the lion's legs. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner circle with a milled border.
