Reverse description The crowned, two-tailed rampant lion of Norway faces left within a beaded inner circle, holding an axe-headed halberd in its forelegs; the mintmark appears between the lion's hind legs. The royal motto in Latin fills the outer legend, with the date divided by an ornament and the engraver's initials F.G. concluding the inscription. A beaded border frames the rim.
