Obverse description Crowned royal cipher consisting of the mirrored and interlaced monogram of King Frederik V occupies the central field, flanked by a crowned shield dividing the surrounding legend. The legend, in Latin, reads in full around the periphery, referencing the king's titles as ruler of Denmark, Norway, the Wends, and the Goths. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner ring, lending a refined, formal character consistent with pattern coinage of the period.
