| Obverse description | The obverse features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a crown, with a third, larger crown above flanked by ribbons, the eagle holding a sceptre in its right talon and an orb in its left. On the breast of the eagle, a shield bears the equestrian figure of St. George slaying the dragon. The curved legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic, flanked by two decorative lozenge ornaments. Below the eagle, the inscriptions БАНК РОССИИ, 2 РУБЛЯ, and 2022 г. appear in three lines across the lower field, while Ag 925 is inscribed to the lower left and the fineness weight 15,55 together with the Saint Petersburg Mint mark (СПМД) appears to the lower right. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a highly detailed, polychrome coloured depiction of Viola incisa (the incised violet), a rare alpine plant listed in the Red Book of Russia. Three deep purple blossoms with characteristic white-throated markings rise on slender stems above a rosette of deeply serrated, dark green leaves, one blossom shown in bud drooping to the right. The plant grows from a rocky, snow-dusted alpine terrain rendered in fine engraving across the lower field. The Cyrillic legend ФИАЛКА НАДРЕЗАННАЯ curves along the upper periphery of the mirror-polished field, identifying the subject in the native language. |
