Reverse description Bold Jerusalem cross occupying the central field, with lions passant and castles alternating in the four quarters formed by the cross arms, consistent with the heraldic tradition of the Spanish colonial cob series. The irregular flan, characteristic of hammered macuquina coinage, results in partial strike and clipped edges, with portions of the surrounding legend typically off-flan. The design follows the standard pillars-and-cross type prescribed for colonial silver reales of this period. Surfaces show typical cob texture with flat high points and irregular planchet edges.
