| Descrizione del dritto | Central field dominated by the quartered royal arms of Castile and León — displaying alternating castles and lions in the upper and lower quarters — with a smaller inescutcheon of Granada at the base, surmounted by an ornate royal crown. The assayer's initial (O) appears to the right of the shield, with the mint mark (Mo) and denomination numeral (II) positioned to the left. A circular beaded inner border frames the design, with the partial Latin legend running along the outer rim. The entire device is struck in the characteristic irregular, cob-style flan typical of hammered colonial coinage. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central design features a bold Jerusalem cross with flared terminals, dividing the field into four quadrants. The upper-left and lower-right quadrants contain a turreted castle (Castile), while the upper-right and lower-left quadrants display a rampant lion (León), all set within a polylobe or quatrefoil border of wavy outline. The surrounding legend in Latin is partially visible along the rim, interrupted by the irregular hammered flan edge. The overall strike is typical of the macuquina (cob) coinage produced at the Mexico City Mint during the reign of Philip II. |
