正面描述 Printed in black letterpress on buff-coloured card stock, the obverse is framed by a double rectangular border. The issuing authority appears in two lines at the top — "CONSEJO MUNICIPAL" in bold capitals above "IGLESUELA DEL CID" — separated from the lower field by a double rule. A hand-written serial number occupies a dotted line preceded by "Núm.", with the bearer obligation "Pagará al Portador" and the denomination "DOS pesetas" in bold type completing the design.

备注

Iglesuela del Cid is a small municipality in Teruel, Aragon, and this note is a product of the fractional currency crisis that swept Republican-held Spain from 1936 onward. The collapse of small-denomination coinage in circulation — hoarded, melted, or simply absent — forced hundreds of town councils to issue their own emergency paper. The Consejo Municipal had no printing infrastructure worth speaking of; these were produced locally, almost certainly on whatever card stock was available, which accounts for the unusually square, almost ticket-like format.

The Gari Monerris catalogue remains the primary reference for these Aragonese municipals, and the "A" suffix on 779A-A suggests at least one variety distinction within the type.
